Captive Portal
Connecting your Crew to the network to accomplish their job and connecting them to their families off-job should be simple. There shouldn’t be complicated pins or extensive administrative management to keep your crew connected and keep them working efficiently on the corporate network. However, with the remote communications industry is trending toward low cost/ limited data pool or High-Cost/Unlimited data pool services.
It is an absolute priority for network managers to control each individual user’s data consumption to keep variable IT costs within the set budgets. Starlink (and other data pooled services) provide a service model that can make user management difficult. However, iNet’s experience with metered/ measured LTE data services can make Starlink management a non-issue for our customers.
iNet uses our Captive Portal software service to proactively moderate user data consumption. By monitoring and managing data usage in real time, users can avoid unexpected slowdowns or disruptions, especially during peak hours. This approach helps prevent overloading the network, ensuring that bandwidth is distributed efficiently among users. Additionally, proactive management allows users to anticipate and adjust their data consumption, avoiding potential extra costs or service interruptions.
Overall, iNet’s Crew Captive Portal enhances network reliability, promotes fair usage, and ensures consistent connectivity for all end-users.
